Hi, I’m Dave Parker — a high school teacher and the person behind MintBurrow.
I’ve spent years in the classroom explaining complicated things in a way that actually makes sense. I also studied business, so the world of money, budgeting, and smart spending has always been something I genuinely enjoy. MintBurrow is where those two sides of me come together: taking confusing money topics and breaking them down into simple, doable steps that anyone can follow.
This site is about one simple idea — keeping more of the money you already earn. Not get-rich-quick schemes. Not complicated investing jargon. Just honest, practical ways to spend less on groceries, cut down your monthly bills, build a budget that doesn’t fall apart, and make your home more affordable to run.
Why I started this
Like most people, I learned the hard way that earning more isn’t the only path to financial breathing room — spending smarter matters just as much. As a teacher, money was always tight enough that I had to get good at stretching it. As someone with a business background, I understood the “why” behind the numbers. I kept the tips, tricks, and systems that actually worked, and MintBurrow is my way of sharing them.
How I research and write
Every article here is carefully researched. I read through real experiences from forums, communities, and reviews so that what you read reflects what actually works for real people — not just theory. I use modern research tools to gather and organize information efficiently, but every article is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by me before it goes live. You can read more about this on our Editorial Policy page.
I’m not a licensed financial advisor, and nothing here is personalized financial advice. I’m a teacher who’s good at saving money and explaining things clearly — and my goal is to help you do the same.
